The inaugural phase of VCT Americas began on April 8 to determine the American representatives for the Masters in Shanghai, China. Each victory holds significance, not only for securing spots in the next international tournament but also for accumulating points in the VALORANT Champions Tour.
Grand Final: 100 Thieves vs. G2 Esports
In a thrilling showdown, 100 Thieves claimed the championship title of the first phase of VCT Americas with a commanding 3-0 victory over G2 Esports in the grand finals. The decisive breakthrough for the North American team came in the third map of the series.
- Bind (Map 1): The match started with G2 leading 8-4, but 100 Thieves turned the tables as defenders, securing a 13-9 victory and a 1-0 lead in the series.
- Breeze (Map 2): Both teams were evenly matched at halftime (6-6), but a dominant 7-1 performance by 100 Thieves in the second half secured them a 13-7 win and a 2-0 lead.
- Sunset (Map 3): 100 Thieves continued their dominance, shutting down G2 Esports with a convincing 13-8 victory to seal the series 3-0 and claim the VCT Americas title.
MVP Performance: Sean “bang” Bezerra emerged as the MVP of the finals, showcasing exceptional gameplay with a rating of 1.29, an ACS of 233, and a K:D ratio of 56/36/15.
