The Argentine organization and its Counter-Strike team clinched another significant victory by securing a place in the prestigious IEM Dallas tournament.
In a hard-fought battle on Friday, 9z Team emerged victorious against FURIA with a score of 2-1 in the South American Closed Qualifier, earning them the coveted spot in IEM Dallas. The tournament is scheduled to commence in late May and will feature some of the world’s top teams.

Path to Victory
Despite not making it to the RMR playoffs for the Americas, 9z Team refused to be deterred and seized the opportunity to compete in another major international tournament. The team’s journey to the IEM Dallas qualifier began with a convincing 2-0 victory (16-14 on Inferno and 13-4 on Nuke) over fellow Argentine team BESTIA.
However, they faced a formidable opponent in the form of the Brazilian powerhouse, FURIA, in the next round. Despite a strong performance, 9z Team suffered a 0-2 defeat (13-6 on Ancient and 13-6 on Mirage).
Redemption and Victory
Undeterred by their initial setback, 9z Team fought their way through the Lower Bracket, securing victories against BESTIA once again. In the final showdown against FURIA, 9z Team delivered an impressive performance, defying expectations and clinching a 2-1 victory.
Despite FURIA’s initial lead on Nuke with a score of 13-8, 9z Team turned the tables and emerged victorious with scores of 13-8 on Mirage and 13-11 on Ancient, securing their spot in IEM Dallas.
