Riot Games made a significant commitment to the game with the establishment of the VALORANT Champions Tour (VCT), a circuit organized by the developer featuring accepted clubs as partners.
Organizational Structure of the Competitive Scene
The competitive scene of Riot Games’ shooter is divided between the VCT’s first division and the second division, commonly known as the Challengers. Beneath these mentioned competitions lie amateur tournaments, crucial for nurturing new players and talent.
The VCT comprises clubs accepted by Riot Games as part of the partner program, with one new addition in 2023. Riot aims to expand the number of participants by adding one more team in each region (EMEA, Americas, Pacific, and China) through the Ascension tournament until 2027. The promotion is contested by the winners of each regional league.
