Dota 2 The International Qualifiers: Beastcoast Follows HEROIC’s Footsteps to Qualify for TI13

19. June 2024 by Valentin Pasetti

beastcoast has achieved their fourth consecutive qualification for The International (TI13) through the South American qualifiers.

Following the impressive performance by HEROIC, who dominated the South American qualifiers, beastcoast secured their spot by defeating BOOM Esports 2-1. They will now join HEROIC in Denmark this October to compete for the Aegis.

Beastcoast vs BOOM Esports

beastcoast had a strong run throughout the qualifiers but faced a setback in the upper bracket final against HEROIC, resulting in a 0-2 loss. This defeat pushed them to the lower bracket, where they encountered BOOM Esports.

BOOM Esports had made a remarkable lower bracket run after advancing from the open qualifiers, making it to the lower bracket final. Despite losing the first game, beastcoast rallied to win the next two games, securing their place at TI13. Each game lasted around 40 minutes, showcasing intense and competitive Dota 2 action.

Beastcoast’s Journey and Prospects

This marks beastcoast’s fourth consecutive appearance at The International, beginning their journey at TI10. Their best performance to date was at TI11, where they finished 7th-8th.

Although this year’s roster looks different from previous years, the organization has shown resilience and determination to reach the most prestigious Dota 2 tournament once again. Entering as underdogs, beastcoast has nothing to lose and everything to gain, making them a team to watch.
