Call of Duty League: All Roster Moves and Changes for the 2025 CDL Season

With the 2024 competitive Call of Duty season officially over, it’s time for the most chaotic and drama-filled part of the CoD calendar: rostermania.

The Call of Duty League (CDL) wrapped up in July with OpTic Texas taking home the trophy at the CoD Champs 2024. However, the final professional Modern Warfare 3 event was the Esports World Cup in Saudi Arabia from August 15-18. Right after the event, CDL pros and organizations began announcing free agents and roster changes in preparation for the Black Ops 6 season in 2025.

Here are all the roster moves announced so far during the 2024-2025 offseason. This article will be updated regularly until the start of the 2025 CDL season.

CDL Roster Moves – 2024-2025 Season

Carolina Royal Ravens

  • August 23: FeLo announces he’s a restricted free agent.
  • August 21: CoD leaker Hope reports that Carolina Royal Ravens might be replaced by another org, potentially Fnatic or Gen.G.
  • August 19: TJHaLy announces he’s an unrestricted free agent.
  • August 19: Beans is released after joining the team on July 22.
  • July 6: Clayster is released by the organization.

CDL Major 4 arena

Minnesota RØKKR

  • September 8: Diamondcon announces he’s an unrestricted free agent.
  • August 20: Estreal announces he’s an unrestricted free agent.
  • August 19: Accuracy is released from the roster.

Toronto Ultra

  • August 19: Insight announces he’s a restricted free agent.

Los Angeles Guerrillas

  • September 19: Gentle Mates, the org of former French CoD pro Gotaga, is reportedly looking to buy the Los Angeles Guerrillas franchise, according to Dexerto’s Jacob Hale. They’re also targeting HyDra and Scrap.
  • August 21: Hope reports that Guerrillas could be replaced by another org, possibly Fnatic or Gen.G.
  • August 19: Assault announces he’s an unrestricted free agent.
  • August 6: Flames announces he’s an unrestricted free agent.

Los Angeles Thieves

  • September 18: L.A. Thieves are reportedly trying to sign HyDra, Scrap, and Envoy to compete alongside Ghosty for the 2025 season, according to Breaking Point and Dexerto.
  • September 26: HyDra, Scrap, and Envoy officially join the roster with Ghosty.
  • August 6: Afro is released by the team.
  • August 2: Head coach JKap and L.A. Thieves part ways.

Boston Breach

  • August 7: Dexerto’s Jacob Hale reports that Boston Breach’s parent company, Oxygen Esports, may shut down. As of August 19, this remains unconfirmed.

Vancouver Surge

  • August 28: Huke announces his free agency, confirmed by Surge.
  • August 28: Breszy is released and announces his unrestricted free agent status.
  • August 25: iLLeY declares free agency.
  • August 11: Seattle Surge officially rebrands to Vancouver Surge.

Cloud9 New York

  • September 18: Coach DREAL announces his contract has expired, making him a free agent.
  • August 29: Sib reveals he’s a restricted free agent.
  • August 10: Cloud9 CEO Jack Etienne confirms the New York Subliners will be rebranded as Cloud9 New York.

Vegas Falcons

  • August 28: Attach announces he’s an unrestricted free agent.
  • August 21: Team Falcons officially replaces Legion in the CDL, forming the Vegas Falcons with a roster of Saudi Arabian players, including Roxas, Exnid, KingAbody, and KHHX.

Miami Heretics

  • August 23: Miami signs RenKoR for the 2025 season.

Atlanta FaZe

  • September 18: Search and Destroy coach 2Pac announces his free agency after being let go due to “budget cuts.”

OpTic Texas

  • As of September 18, no confirmed offseason roster changes have been announced.
