LoL: Arcane Season 2 Takes Over ARAM with a New Map

17. October 2024 by Valentin Pasetti

As the highly anticipated second season of Arcane approaches, Riot Games is preparing exciting in-game content for League of Legends to celebrate. The animated series, inspired by the lore of LoL, will also bring changes to one of the game’s favorite modes: ARAM, which is getting a brand new map.

With the announcement of Arcane Season 2, fans of both the game and the series are eagerly awaiting its release. Despite recent leaks, Riot remains optimistic and is working on a grand celebration that will include new content across its various games.

The Bridge of Progress Replaces Howling Abyss

The major change for ARAM comes in the form of a brand new map. Instead of the iconic Howling Abyss, players will battle on the Bridge of Progress, a pivotal structure that divides the privileged citizens of Piltover from the underprivileged denizens of Zaun. This map will immerse players in both sides of the region’s story, where much of the narrative of Arcane unfolds.

In the development preview, Riot revealed that the Bridge of Progress would alter the gameplay of ARAM. The new map features a different connection system compared to the current Hextech portals. Instead, the portals are replaced by sewer entrances, though their exact function remains a mystery for now.

What to Expect from the Arcane 2 Update

The update, expected to land alongside Patch 14.22, will arrive just in time for the November 9 release of Arcane Season 2. In addition to the new ARAM map, the patch will also introduce Ambessa Medarda, the powerful Noxian general who is set to become a key champion in both League of Legends and other Riot titles.

Many other surprises are also expected with this massive update, as Riot has teased more content to accompany the celebration of the series’ return.

Immerse Yourself in Arcane

The new Bridge of Progress map for ARAM promises to bring an exciting twist to the fan-favorite mode, offering not only a fresh battlefield but also deeper immersion into the rich world of Piltover and Zaun.

Whether you’re an ARAM enthusiast or simply a fan of Arcane, this update is set to deliver an exciting mix of new gameplay and storytelling.
