Speed Tries Peruvian Cuisine

One of the highlights of Speed’s visit was his enthusiastic dive into Peruvian gastronomy. Stopping near the Plaza de Armas, he was served a variety of traditional dishes prepared by local chefs.

His culinary adventure began with cuy frito (fried guinea pig), followed by pollada (grilled chicken with boiled potatoes and rice). He also tasted pachamanca a la olla, a traditional Andean dish, and was visibly surprised by suri worms, a delicacy from the Peruvian jungle, which he bravely ate.

The experience culminated with a plate of ceviche, Peru’s national dish, accompanied by corn, sweet potato, and plantain chips. Overcome by the spiciness of the leche de tigre marinade, he quickly asked for water, entertaining the crowd. His final verdict? A resounding “Te amo, Perú” in appreciation of the food.
