ENCE Welcomes Gla1ve and Kuben: A New Era Begins

27. November 2023 by Valentin Pasetti

ENCE has made a significant move by signing legendary IGL (In-Game Leader) Lukas “gla1ve” Rossander and veteran head coach Jakub “kuben” Gurczynski on November 27. This strategic decision comes following the departures of Marco “Snappi” Pfeiffer and coach Eetu “sAw” Saha, leaving big shoes to fill in the team.

Building on a Legacy

Gla1ve and Kuben are set to carry forward the legacy of Snappi and sAw, who successfully transitioned ENCE from a Finnish to an international roster in 2021.

Gla1ve, coming off a five-month bench period at Astralis, sees this as a major opportunity to reclaim top-tier success, his last major win being in December 2019. Kuben, having contributed to GamerLegion’s top-four finish at the BLAST Paris Major in May, brings a wealth of experience to the team.

Gla1ve’s New Challenge

Gla1ve expressed enthusiasm and readiness for the new environment and challenges, especially with the developments in Counter-Strike 2. He aims to harness ENCE’s potential and bring fresh dynamics to the team.

Renowned for leading Astralis to four Major championships between 2017 and 2019, gla1ve’s entry into ENCE marks his first time leading in English at the highest level of competition.

ENCE’s Solid Foundation

Under Snappi and sAw, ENCE established itself as a formidable top-five team globally, clinching titles like IEM Dallas in June and reaching multiple grand finals. This foundation sets a promising stage for gla1ve and Kuben to build upon.

Upcoming Debut

The new look ENCE, under the leadership of gla1ve and Kuben, will make its debut on November 29 against HAVU at the Elisa Masters Espoo in Finland, a $200,000 tournament. This will be a key moment to gauge the effectiveness of this new strategic direction.

A Promising Future for ENCE

With the integration of gla1ve and Kuben, ENCE is poised for an exciting phase. Their experience and track record in CS:GO esports suggest a promising future for the team. Fans and analysts will be keenly watching their progress, starting with the upcoming Elisa Masters Espoo.
