Warzone Unveils Full “Squad Size” Options for MW3 Season One

5. December 2023 by Valentin Pasetti

The highly anticipated first season of Modern Warfare 3 (MW3) brings a significant update to Warzone, much to the delight of its vast player base. Starting from December 6, Warzone will offer all squad sizes – solos, duos, trios, and quads – allowing players to experience the game in their preferred format throughout the entire season.

Moving Away from Playlist Rotation

Raven Software’s original playlist rotation system in Warzone 2 faced criticism from the community for limiting access to favorite battle royale maps and modes.

The launch of Ashika Island with only squads, contrary to initial promises, added to the disappointment. The subsequent weekly rotation system also failed to meet player expectations, leading to confusion and frustration.

The confirmation of all squad sizes being available in Warzone’s MW3 season one has been met with positive reactions from the community. Content creators and streamers like HunterTV and Metaphor have expressed relief and cautious optimism, hoping for this change to be a permanent feature rather than a seasonal offering.
