- Open Qualifier: Involving 128 teams in a single-elimination format, fighting for four spots in the Closed Qualifier.
- Closed Qualifier: Top-performing rosters from the previous year’s GC Stage 3 join the four teams from the Open Qualifier, competing in a double-elimination bracket. The top eight teams will advance to the initial stage of 2024.
Contenders Format and Relegation System
The Contenders segment will see changes in 2024:
- Structure: Contenders will comprise 30 teams, including regional tournament invitees, open qualifier winners, and two relegated teams from GC EMEA Stages 1 and 2.
- Promotion System: The top two teams from Contenders will earn promotion back into GC EMEA for the subsequent Stage 2 or 3.
