Apex Legends continues to keep its map rotation fresh and exciting in Season 23, offering players a mix of classic and updated battlefields. With six total maps in the game, Respawn Entertainment rotates three at a time for Battle Royale, Ranked, and the Mixtape playlist, ensuring variety and novelty for players.

Battle Royale Map Rotation

In Season 23, the Battle Royale mode features three maps in rotation:

  • Broken Moon
  • Storm Point
  • World’s Edge

This season omits the E-District, which was the centerpiece of Season 22, marking Apex’s first new map in nearly two years. However, Respawn may revisit it in the future after additional updates.

December 17 – January 6, 2024

  • Big TDM: Habitat, Skull Town, Party Crasher
  • Control: Thunderdome, Production Yard, Lava Siphon
  • Gun Run: Fragment, Wattson, Skull Town
  • Lockdown: Zeus Station, Monument, The Core

The Mixtape playlist will not see further changes until the mid-season patch.

OG Kings Canyon in Launch Royale

Although there’s no new map for Season 23, Respawn has added the OG Kings Canyon to the Launch Royale mode, giving players a nostalgic opportunity to revisit this iconic map in its original state.
