Call of Duty welcomes Lara Croft as new operator

Activision Blizzard recently revealed a new exclusive package that will arrive on Call of Duty servers in September. This new package welcomes Lara Croft as an operator to the game. The package will be available in Modern Warfare 2 Season 5 and the sequel Warzone 2.

Lara Croft as the new CoD Operator

Over the years, Call of Duty developers have brought many operators and packs based on legendary movie characters to their library. Right now, this library is starting to become unmanageable.

With the release of the first Warzone movie, the saga began to make a lot of unique associations. The developers started with Saw and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, then moved on to Scream and Rambo, Die Hard, and Terminator with its T-800 and T-1000.

Now, Activision has revealed a new batch for the store: Lara Croft enters with her trademark Tomb Raider cosmetics to replace The Boys. The developers have prepared this inclusion as Modern Warfare 2 is about to close its doors and make way for Modern Warfare 3 (2023).

The release date for the Lara Croft pack in CoD

In a few days, all CoD and Lara Croft fans will be able to enjoy the debut of the game’s new operator. After Nicki Minaj and Snoop Dog, it’s time for the popular adventurer of the video game industry. The Tomb Raider bundle will be on sale in the game’s store from September 8.

Tomb Raider bundle details

The Tomb Raider bundle will include three weapon plans: an Ice Axe melee weapon, a “Mythic Defender” design submachine gun, and twin Mach-5 pistols. Of course, the Lara Croft skin will be this new pack’s main object or protagonist. But that’s not all. The game developers have also included a Tomb Buggy vehicle design in this pack as a bonus.

It is important to note that this time, the things we buy in the Modern Warfare 2 store will not be lost when the next Call of Duty comes out since all items can be transferred seamlessly to Modern Warfare 3 (2023).

The price of this pack is expected to be the usual 2,400 CoD points, which is equivalent to about 20 euros in the store. It is clear that Activision wants to continue the example of Fortnite: Battle Royale (a game in which, by the way, Lara Croft already appeared). The developers want to add to their flagship multiplayer (CoD) a wide range of famous characters within popular culture.

Finally, it is important to note that CoD: MW3 will be released on November 10 for all platforms. However, there will be a beta for all players in October.
