One of Fortnite’s most popular names Cody “Clix” Conrod, has been banned from Fortnite for trying to team up with a rival in the middle of a match. As a result, the player will not be able to participate in the most important tournaments in 2023.
Clix, in a game, teamed up with a rival in a kind of team, which has brought strong consequences in his professional career. As a result, THE player has been banned from the current season and the next season of the Fortnite Championship Series. But that’s not all the punishment that has been meted out to Clix; he is also out of the LAN tournament at the end of the year in Copenhagen.
Clix is banned from Fortnite and will not be able to play in some tournaments during 2023
As we discussed earlier, Clix has suffered strong consequences for his actions in a game. So he has been left out of a tournament where one of the most important prize pools is at stake. We are talking about the LAN at the end of the year, where all participating players will be fighting for a share of the $ 10 million prize pool.
On the other hand, Clix has been banned from practically all Fortnite tournaments. As a result, the player cannot participate in the upcoming North American Grand Finals or Copenhagen.
Clix talks about his expulsion from Fortnite
Recently in a broadcast, Clix explained everything about his expulsion. The player indicated that it was a two-week ban. But the scope of the punishment is very strong, making him out of this month’s FNCS Finals and the following ones. However, by not participating in these finals, he will not be able to reach the LAN event at the end of the year.

According to the published information, the player suffers this ban for teaming up with an opponent.
During the game, it is shown how a sniper is throwing objects at Clix to help him. So, Clix comments that he knew the other player was breaking the rules. However, he took the things he had thrown at him. Once Clix took the items, he also broke the game’s rules.
Clix admits that it was wrong of him to take the items, but he believes that the punishment he has been given is too severe. According to the player’s criteria, the punishment should be less so that he can participate in the next tournaments.
On the other hand, Clix comments that Epic may have only seen the replay of the game where he accepts the items, but they did not see that he was very upset with the other player.
Seeing the images without context may make it appear that the two players were playing as a team. However, Clix clarifies that with his comments, he does not want to go against Epic; he feels very disappointed in himself for falling into the opponent’s game.
2 Weeks for a heat of the moment mistake is too much. This isn't the same as 2 players agreeing to team in a tournament. You were getting stream sniped and made a mistake in the heat of the moment. A shorter suspension would have been enough.
