DreamLeague Season 24 has crowned Team Falcons as champions after their 3-1 victory over BetBoom Team in the grand final. With this win, Falcons secure the $300,000 prize and cement their status as the most successful team of 2024, boasting victories in 6 of the 10 premier tournaments of the year.

Their exceptional performance this season has set them apart, with their lowest placement being a respectable fourth at The International.

DreamLeague Season 24: A Challenging Format

DreamLeague Season 24 introduced a unique two-stage group format. Initially, teams were divided into two groups of eight. The top four teams from each group then moved on to a second, more competitive group stage, where the best of the best advanced to the playoffs.

Falcons, however, showcased remarkable consistency and resilience throughout the event, handling the competitive pressure and fatigue with ease.

The Grand Final: Falcons vs. BetBoom

In the grand final, BetBoom relied heavily on familiar strategies, picking Batrider, Tusk, Beastmaster, and Nature’s Prophet, while Falcons responded with unconventional picks.

They brought in Hoodwink and Bristleback for core play, and surprised fans by adding Venomancer in their one loss and an unexpected Pugna pick in two games, demonstrating their flexibility and depth.

Post-Finals Interview: Humor Amid Controversy

Following their victory, Andreas “Crit-” Nielsen addressed some of the online chatter about Falcons’ controversial player Ammar “ATF” Al-Assaf. With humor, he shared, “It’s just me and Aui telling Ammar the same thing over and over again for 10 months, but nothing changes.

Every event, there’s another person that wants to kill him or something,” showing the team’s light-hearted approach to the intensity of their gameplay and roster dynamics.
