DRX has emerged victorious in the 2025 VCT Pacific Kickoff after a grueling five-game series against fellow South Korean team T1. With a final score of 3-2, DRX secured the first-seed slot for VALORANT Masters Bangkok, marking a significant achievement for the organization.

DRX’s Road to Victory

Prior to the grand finals, DRX had already proven its strength by defeating T1 in the Upper Bracket Final. This win guaranteed DRX a place in VALORANT’s first international event of the year. Meanwhile, T1 had to battle through the lower bracket, overcoming Gen.G on February 8th to secure a rematch against DRX in the grand final.

However, T1 quickly retaliated on Lotus. Despite an initial five-round deficit, DRX fought back to end the first half close at 5-7. T1, however, executed a flawless attack side to close the map 13-6.

On map three, Fracture, DRX once again took control, securing an 8-4 lead in the first half and ultimately winning 13-9. The fourth map, Bind, proved to be the most intense game yet, going into overtime. Both teams matched each other round for round, finishing regulation time at 12-12. T1 managed to clutch the win 14-12, pushing the series to a decisive game five.

The final map, Split, was another nail-biter. With both teams trading rounds, DRX finally edged out T1 13-11, securing the championship title.

The close nature of the match was reflected in the statistics, with DRX’s Song ‘HYUNMIN’ Hyun-min earning the MVP award with a KDA of 92/82/12. T1’s Yu ‘BuZz’ Byung-chul, a former DRX player, showcased his individual brilliance with a KDA of 101/78/20.
