The group stage of ESL One Birmingham for the ESL Pro Tour 2023-2024 of Dota 2 has wrapped up, revealing the eight teams advancing to the playoffs in pursuit of glory and a share of the $1,000,000 USD prize pool.
Playoff Teams
The teams that have secured their spots are:
- Team Falcons (Upper Bracket)
- BetBoom Team (Upper Bracket)
- OG (Upper Bracket)
- Tundra Esports (Upper Bracket)
- G2 x iG (Lower Bracket)
- Team Liquid (Lower Bracket)
- HEROIC (Lower Bracket)
- Xtreme Gaming (Lower Bracket)

The top two teams from each group advanced to the upper bracket, while the third and fourth-placed teams moved into the lower bracket. Unfortunately, other teams did not make the cut, including Shopify Rebellion, Gaimin Gladiators, and last year’s The International finalists, Team Spirit.
Tiebreakers Decisions
The group stage saw intense tiebreaker matches. In Group A, Team Falcons, BetBoom Team, and Team Liquid battled for the top spots. Meanwhile, Group B had a four-way tie between HEROIC, Team Spirit, Xtreme Gaming, and Tundra Esports, determining their paths to the upper and lower brackets.
Playoffs and Venue
The playoff stage kicks off on April 25th with the matchup between Team Falcons and Tundra Esports, culminating in the Grand Final on April 28th at the Resort World Arena, Perimeter Road in Birmingham.

Prize Distribution
Teams are vying for substantial prizes:
- Champion: $300,000 USD
- Second Place: $175,000 USD
- Third Place: $120,000 USD

This event marks one of the final stops on the tour, with DreamLeague S23 and the Riyadh Masters 2024 following, including the mega-event Esports World Cup hosted in Saudi Arabia.
