Tournament Format

The CS2 tournament at the Esports World Cup will unfold in three stages:

  1. Opening Stage: Fourteen teams compete in best-of-three series to determine direct qualification to the Playoffs or placement in the Play-In stage.
  2. Play-In: Teams from the Opening Stage with one loss get a second chance to qualify for the Playoffs. Only one team advances from the Play-In.
  3. Playoffs: The final stage where teams compete for the championship title and the lion’s share of the prize pool.
