Fortnite Ballistic Update v33.30: Major Changes to Weapons and Economy

30. January 2025 by Valentin Pasetti

Fortnite’s Ballistic mode, the 5v5 tactical first-person experience, is about to receive some crucial updates with the v33.30 patch. Since its launch on December 11, 2024, Ballistic has been drawing attention with its Counter-Strike-inspired gameplay, but it’s still in its early access phase.

The upcoming update, scheduled for January 31, promises exciting changes that could drastically affect how players approach the game mode.

New Weapon: Drum Gun

One of the most anticipated changes is the introduction of the Drum Gun into the Ballistic loot pool. This weapon is set to shake up gameplay, providing players with a powerful option for close-to-mid-range combat.

Known for its full-auto capabilities and impressive burst control, the Drum Gun offers versatility, allowing players to adjust recoil to their advantage. This weapon will cost 3,500 Credits and will be available in the buy menu.

Epic Games has described the Drum Gun as perfect for high-intensity skirmishes. It’s certainly not the weapon for stealthy tactics, so using it will likely make you the center of attention on the battlefield.

What’s Next for Fortnite Ballistic?

As the game mode continues to evolve, expect more updates in future patches that further refine the gameplay experience. The v33.30 update is set to go live on January 31, and it’s a perfect time to dive back into Fortnite Ballistic for a fresh experience.
