Teamfight Tactics (TFT) is gearing up for its most exciting event yet: The Remix Battle Championship, marking the grand stage of Set 10. This comprehensive guide will dive into the heart of the championship, detailing everything from the lucrative prizes to the innovative format that will define the competition.
The Glittering Prizes of the Remix Battle Championship
Scheduled for March 1-3, this championship will host 32 of the world’s finest TFT players. The ultimate victor will claim not only the prestigious Golden Spatula trophy and a whopping $150,000 but also the coveted title of Remix Battle Champion.
The Format of Set 10’s World Championship
Scoring in the championship follows a straightforward pattern: 8/7/6/5/4/3/2/1 points are awarded from the first to the eighth place, respectively.
Day 1:
- 32 players will be split into 4 groups to play 6 matches.
- After every two matches, players will be randomly redistributed.
- All 32 players will advance to Day 2.
Day 2:
- Players carry over their points from Day 1.
- The 32 players are again divided into 4 groups for 6 matches.
- Post two matches, another random redistribution occurs.
- The top 8 players progress to Day 3.
Day 3:
- The “Point and Win” format: the first player to reach 20 points and then secure a first-place finish wins the Championship!
Future Changes to TFT Championships
Starting from the next set, the current set’s championship winner will automatically qualify for the next set’s championship, provided they make it to their regional finals.
This means the winner of the Remix Battle Championship will have a guaranteed spot in the Set 11 Championship, conditional upon regional finals qualification. This rule not only offers an additional spot for a region but also rewards the individual effort of the Set champion.
