The competitive Valorant scene is heating up as teams battle it out in the VCT Americas Kickoff tournament. In this latest round of matches, KRÜ Esports faced off against G2 Esports, resulting in a 2-1 defeat for KRÜ, while Leviathan emerged victorious against 100 Thieves with a score of 2-1.

KRÜ Esports vs. G2 Esports

KRÜ Esports made their debut in the VCT Americas Kickoff tournament against G2 Esports, but unfortunately fell short with a 2-1 loss in a closely contested series. Despite putting up a strong fight, KRÜ Esports was unable to secure victory and now finds themselves in the lower bracket.

Leviathan vs. 100 Thieves

Leviathan kicked off their VCT Americas Kickoff campaign with a strong showing against 100 Thieves, securing a 2-1 victory and advancing to the upper bracket. Despite facing a formidable opponent, Leviathan’s new roster, led by standout players Corbin “C0M” Lee and Erick “aspas” Santos, delivered an impressive performance.

The series began on Bind, where Leviathan dominated from the pistol round, securing aggressive takes and ultimately clinching a 13-9 victory. The following map, Split, saw 100 Thieves take control in the first half with a commanding 9-3 lead. However, Leviathan fought back in the second half, but fell short as 100 Thieves forced a decider with a 13-9 win.

The final map, Icebox, saw Leviathan take an early lead and maintain control throughout the match, securing a 13-11 victory and sealing their spot in the upper bracket. Leviathan will face LOUD on February 23rd in their next match, while KRÜ Esports will make their debut in the lower bracket against G2 Esports on February 18th.
