Initially, there was skepticism regarding the game’s competitive scene, as no official tournaments had been announced. However, with the introduction of multiple esports organizations and structured tournaments, Marvel Rivals has solidified its place in the industry.
Now, NetEase is doubling down on its investment in the game by announcing the Marvel Rivals Invitational 2025, the first Tier 1 tournament officially organized by the game’s developers.

Tournament Format
The Marvel Rivals Invitational 2025 will be played online and will consist of two distinct stages:
Swiss Stage
- Determines team rankings for the Playoff Stage.
- The top 4 teams advance to the Upper Bracket.
- The bottom 4 teams move to the Lower Bracket.
Playoff Stage
- Double elimination format.
- Upper Bracket matches will be Best of 3 (Bo3).
- Lower Bracket matches will be Best of 5 (Bo5).
- Grand Final will be Best of 7 (Bo7).
Prize Pool Distribution
The tournament will feature a $100,000 prize pool, distributed as follows:
- 1st Place – $40,000
- 2nd Place – $20,000
- 3rd Place – $12,000
- 4th Place – $8,000
- 5th & 6th Place – $6,000 each
- 7th & 8th Place – $4,000 each
