MOUZ, known for their young and dynamic international squad, continues to impress in CS2. With their second consecutive 3-0 final victory, they achieved a historic milestone: claiming the number one spot in the HLTV rankings for the first time in the organization’s history.
BetBoom Dacha Belgrade Triumph
Fresh off their ESL Pro League title defense, MOUZ wasted no time diving into the action at BetBoom Dacha Belgrade. Despite being a less prestigious event, the tournament boasted a notable $500,000 prize pool and featured formidable opponents.
In a remarkable display of skill and determination, MOUZ navigated through a challenging bracket, defeating teams like BetBoom Team, Virtus.pro, Heroic, and ultimately, Team Spirit, to claim the championship. Their decisive victory over Team Spirit, led by donk, was particularly memorable, as it showcased MOUZ’s dominance against a formidable opponent.
Series Breakdown
The series kicked off on Vertigo, considered Spirit’s weakest map. Although the initial match was closely contested, with MOUZ clinching a 13-11 victory, they quickly gained momentum in the subsequent maps.
On Ancient, MOUZ dominated with a commanding 9-3 lead on the CT side, followed by a strong offensive performance. Despite Spirit’s attempts at a comeback, MOUZ maintained their lead, securing the map and setting the tone for the rest of the series.
The final map, Mirage, proved to be another triumph for MOUZ. With a flawless record on Mirage in the CS2 era, MOUZ secured an early lead and maintained their dominance throughout the match, ultimately closing out the series with a decisive victory.
Individual Performance
The series was highlighted by an outstanding performance from siuhy, the Polish IGL of MOUZ, who showcased exceptional skill with a remarkable +19 K/D and a 1.31 HLTV 2.0 rating. While Spirit’s donk performed admirably, MOUZ’s collective effort proved too formidable for their opponents.
Historic Achievement
