Nigma Galaxy has officially announced that Daniel Chan “Ghost” Kok Hong will continue to stand in for the team in upcoming qualifiers.
This decision follows their impressive 3rd-4th place finish at BLAST Slam II, where Ghost played in place of Amer “Miracle-” Al-Barkawi. While Miracle’s absence remains unexplained, Nigma Galaxy appears content with their current lineup.
Ghost’s Growing Role in Nigma Galaxy
Ghost has been closely associated with Nigma Galaxy in recent months. He initially joined the team in January 2024, albeit for a short 20-day stint. Prior to that, he had already stood in for them during the Clavision: Snow Ruyi tournament, where they secured a respectable 3rd place finish.
At BLAST Slam II, Ghost once again proved to be a valuable addition. His performance in the carry role played a crucial part in Nigma Galaxy’s deep tournament run, leading the team to maintain him as a stand-in for upcoming competitions.

A Strong Start to 2024 for Nigma Galaxy
Nigma Galaxy remains one of the most recognizable Dota 2 teams, with a legacy rooted in their legendary roster. Despite struggling in recent years, the team has shown significant improvement following key roster changes.
One of the most notable shifts was the transition of captain Kuro “KuroKy” Salehi Takhasomi to a coaching role. This, along with the additions of Lebanese players Omar “OmaR” Moughrabi and Tony “No!ob” Assaf, has seemingly reinvigorated the squad. Their recent results suggest they are finally regaining their competitive edge.
BLAST Slam II proved to be a turning point for Nigma Galaxy. Their inclusion in the event was met with skepticism, as teams like Team Spirit and HEROIC were absent.
However, they defied expectations by finishing in the top four, eliminating prominent teams such as Team Falcons, PARIVISION, and Xtreme Gaming. They even managed to take a map off Tundra Esports, the eventual tournament champions.

Nigma Galaxy’s Upcoming Challenges
With newfound momentum, Nigma Galaxy now prepares for upcoming qualifiers and tournaments. Their first test will be the PGL Wallachia Season 4 Western Europe Qualifier, where they will go up against strong teams like OG and Team Secret.
Following that, they will compete in the FISSURE Playground #1 qualifiers, before heading to the ESL One Raleigh LAN event in the United States. These tournaments will be crucial in determining whether Nigma Galaxy can sustain their recent resurgence and whether Ghost remains a long-term option for the squad.
Final Thoughts
For now, Nigma Galaxy’s fans can look forward to seeing Ghost continue in the carry role, as the team aims to solidify itself as a top contender in the competitive Dota 2 scene.
