Ninjas in Pyjamas Begins Reconstruction of Starting Lineup with an Intriguing Change

25. March 2024 by Valentin Pasetti

Ninjas in Pyjamas is undergoing a period of rebuilding, and the first steps have been taken. After confirming the return of Richard “Xizt” Landström as the head coach on March 8th, the organization’s next move involves a player: Artem “r1nkle” Moroz.

As reported by Alejandro “anonimotum” Gomis, a journalist from Sheep Esports, the AWPer from B8 is set to be the next addition to the Swedish organization, which is still finalizing its starting lineup.

Introducing Artem “r1nkle” Moroz

At just 19 years old, the Ukrainian AWPer is poised to make a significant leap in his career after honing his skills in tier B and C tournaments over the past few years.

According to HLTV data, Moroz boasts an impressive rating of 1.13 and records 0.73 kills per round in recent months. His performance was instrumental in B8’s journey, as they narrowly missed out on qualifying for the Intel Extreme Masters (IEM) Dallas, slated to take place from May 27th to June 8th.

Key Highlights:

  • Ninjas in Pyjamas set to acquire young AWPer Artem “r1nkle” Moroz from B8.
  • Moroz’s impressive stats and performance make him a promising addition to NiP’s lineup.

Trade Deal with B8

The acquisition of r1nkle comes at a cost for Ninjas in Pyjamas. The Swedish organization reportedly agreed to a trade deal with B8, swapping Moroz for Danyyl “headtr1ck” Valitov.

NiP’s decision to partake in this trade mirrors their previous move involving headtr1ck, a former Natus Vincere academy player. Despite the risks involved, NiP sees potential in r1nkle’s talent and is willing to make the exchange.

Team Composition and Future Prospects

As of now, NiP’s roster consists of r1nkle alongside Fredrik “REZ” Sterner and Alejandro “ALEX” Masanet, the team’s in-game leader. Patrick “es3tag” Hansen and Kristian “k0nfig” Wienecke remain on the bench, awaiting their next move, likely after the Copenhagen Major.

Additionally, NiP must address the situation regarding Ludvig “Brollan” Brolin, currently on loan to MOUZ, who reached the semifinals of the recent IEM Katowice.
