Patch 14.5 for LoL: Riot Decides to Nerf Twisted Fate AD and Senna

League of Legends version 14.5 is set to release on March 6th, bringing with it a significant number of nerfs to strong meta champions, with notable adjustments to Twisted Fate AD and Senna, two of the current top-tier characters.

LoL Patch 14.5: Significant Nerfs Target Twisted Fate AD and Senna

For those enjoying the currently overpowered champion in three different roles, we have some bad news: Riot Games has grown tired of Twisted Fate’s success and popularity.

The Card Master will be one of the primary targets for nerfs in Patch 14.5, a version set to arrive on March 6th, which will not only adjust the gambler but also several other champions.

In fact, there will be 8 buffs and 9 nerfs to champions, with some forgotten characters like Veigar, Sivir, or Kog’Maw receiving buffs, confirming Riot’s intent to shake up the meta.

Senna, TF AD, Vayne, or Zac will be the main targets for nerfs because of their absolute presence in the competitive meta. Let’s go over all the changes, which are not detailed 100% yet, but we will update soon.

CHAMPION BUFFS

Jarvan IV

  • Armor per level increased from 4.8 to 5.2.
  • Q cooldown reduced from 10/9.5/9/8.5/8 to 10/9/8/7/6 seconds.

Kayn (Rhaast)

  • Healing on Rhaast now scales with 0.5% of maximum health.
  • R damage mitigation and ratio increased from 65% to 75%.

Kog’Maw

  • Movement speed from passive when killed increased from 0-40% to 10-50%.
  • Q casting time increased from 0.25 base to scaling based on attack speed.
  • E slow increased from 30/35/40/45/50% to 40/45/50/55/60%.
  • R base AD ratio increased from 65% to 75%.

Rek’Sai

  • Auto-attacks finish 6.6% faster, and crit animation adjusted to 20% speed.
  • Q auto-attacks no longer cancelable and hit 33% faster.
  • E bonus damage to maximum fury increased from 6/8/10/12/14% to 8/9.5/11/12.5/14% of target’s max HP.
  • R damage increased from 100/250/400 (+100% bAD) (+20/25/30% of missing target’s HP) to 150/300/450 (+100% bAD) (+25/30/35% of missing target’s HP).

Sivir

  • Armor increased from 26 to 30.

Veigar

  • Q AP ratio increased from 45/50/55/60/65% to 50/55/60/65/70%.
  • R cooldown reduced from 120/90/60 to 100/80/60.

Vex

  • Passive damage increased from 30-140 + 20% AP and level scaling to 40-150 + 25% AP and level scaling.
  • E now grants passive stacks on killing blows.

Wukong

  • Maximum passive stacks reduced from 10 to 5.
  • Effectiveness of each stack increased from 50% to 100%.
  • Stacks now decay every second instead of all at once.

Bel’Veth

  • E damage reduction reduced from 42/49/56/63/70% to 35/40/45/50/55%.

Brand

  • R base damage reduced from 100/200/300 to 100/175/250.
  • R cooldown increased from 105/90/75 seconds to 110/100/90.

Evelynn

  • Q AP ratio reduced from 30% to 25%.

Maokai (Support, jungle will be compensated)

  • Base movement speed reduced from 335 to 330.
  • Q bonus damage to monsters increased from 80/100/120/140/160 to 120/130/140/150/160.
  • W cooldown increased from 13/12/11/10/9 seconds to 14/13/12/11/10 seconds.

Nidalee

  • Base movement speed reduced from 340 to 335.
  • Q AP ratio in cougar form reduced from 40% to 30%.

Senna

  • Q base AD ratio reduced from 50% to 40%.

Twisted Fate AD

  • E attack speed reduced from 10/22.5/35/47.5/60% to 10/20/30/40/50%.
  • E base AD ratio reduced from 75% to 25%.

Vayne

  • Passive movement speed reduced from 45 to 30.
  • Q cooldown increased from 4/3.5/3/2.5/2 to 6/5/4/3/2 seconds.

Zac

  • Passive healing reduced from 5/6/7/8% to 4/5/6/7%.
  • W base damage increased from 35/50/65/80/95 to 40/55/70/85/100.

    • Damage adjusted from 5/10/18/30 (based on levels 1/6/11/16) (+5% AP) to 4-25 (based on levels 1-18) (+4% AP).
    • Minion damage ratio reduced from 300% to 100%.
  • [Q] Changes:
    • Base damage increased from 55/80/105/130/155 to 60/85/110/135/160.
    • Missing target HP ratio increased from 0-50% (based on target’s missing HP 0-75%) to 0-60% (based on target champion’s missing HP 0-75%).
    • Mana cost adjusted from 65/70/75/80/85 to 60/70/80/90/100.
    • Missile speed increased from 1200 to 1300.
    • Removed minion farming trick (no longer prevents minions from dying while missiles are in transit).

    • Base shield increased from 50/75/100/125/150 to 60/85/110/135/160.
    • AP Bonus Movement Speed ratio reduced from 4% per 100 AP to 2% per 100 AP.
    • Cooldown adjusted from 28/25/22/19/16 to 22/21/20/19/18 seconds.
    • Mana cost reduced from 80/85/90/95/100 to 70/75/80/85/90.

    • Damage adjusted from 60/95/130/165/200 (+35% AP) to 70/100/130/160/190 (+50% AP).
    • Minion damage ratio reduced from 100% to 70%.
    • CC duration adjusted from 1.25 flat to 1.1/1.2/1.3/1.4/1.5 seconds.
    • Cooldown adjusted from 10 flat to 11/10.5/10/9.5/9 seconds.
    • Mana cost reduced from 60/65/70/75/80 to 60 flat.

    • Base damage adjusted from 225/350/475 + 30% (center) to 200/300/400 + 50% (center).
    • Healing adjusted from 110/160/210 (+75% AP) to 100/135/170 (+50% bAD) (+75% AP).

  • Auto-attack speed changed from 0.26 to 0.25.
  • Q true damage burn changed from 6.5% of max HP to 0% + 2% base AD + 1.5% AP + 1% passive.
  • E number of shots adjusted from 5 + 5% critical chance to 5 + 2% passive.

Yorick

  • E healing reduced from 30% to 20%.

Adjustments to Maiden and R:

  • Armor and MR increased from 10-50 to 30-90.
  • No longer takes -50% area damage.

  • AP increased from 60 to 70, but costs 100 more gold.

Stormsurge

  • Movement speed increased from 5% to 8%.

Navori Quickblades

  • Celestial Opposition:
    • Cooldown reduced from 20 to 18 seconds.
    • Slow increased from 50% to 60%.
    • Slow duration increased from 1.5 to 2 seconds.

Sunfire Aegis

  • Health increased from 450 to 500.
  • Burn damage increased from 12 to 15 base.

SYSTEM NERFS (Items, Runes…)

Frozen Heart

  • Armor reduced from 70 to 65.
  • Cost increased by 100 gold.

Solstice Lantern

  • Cooldown increased from 20 to 30 seconds.
  • Movement speed reduced from 30% to 25%.
  • Bonus health changed from 7% maximum health to 50-230.

Lich Bane

  • AP ratio reduced from 50% to 45%.
