The first-ever competition will take place on January 18, 2025, in London, showcasing the best talent from online qualifiers held exclusively on PS5.
What Is PlayStation Tournaments: XP?
This groundbreaking competition features four themed teams inspired by iconic PlayStation symbols: Triangle, Circle, Cross, and Square. Players in each team will compete in high-energy matches and unique challenges to accumulate points and determine the ultimate champion.
Each team will be guided by a Captain and Specialists, influential figures from the esports community, who will mentor and support players throughout the event. The tournament will consist of four competitive rounds interspersed with surprise mini-games, culminating in a final showdown between the two highest-scoring teams to crown the inaugural champion.
Open Qualifiers: How to Join the Action
Players eager to compete on the live stage in London can sign up for PlayStation Tournaments: XP Open Qualifiers, available now for the following featured games:
- TEKKEN 8 and EA Sports FC 25: Already underway.
- Fortnite: Starting December 6, 2024.
- Astro Bot: Starting December 13, 2024.
Winners of the qualifiers will advance to an online regional final, where they’ll battle for a spot in the London event. Successful finalists will receive all-expenses-paid trips to the live competition, including flights and accommodations.
