The Pokémon GO Wild Area is an exciting new live event that expands on the beloved GO Fest and GO Tour experiences. Trainers can look forward to a plethora of features for this inaugural Wild Area event, promising to be one of the most engaging events in Pokémon GO history.
Event Dates and Locations
The Pokémon GO Wild Area will feature both an in-person and an online event:
- In-Person Event: November 16-17, Fukuoka, Japan
- Global Online Event: November 23-24
Tickets for the in-person event in Fukuoka will be available soon at a cost of ¥3,100 with an early bird discount. The global event will break from tradition and will run from 10 a.m. to 6:15 p.m. each day.
New Pokémon and Features
The Wild Area will debut the brand-new Pokémon, Toxtricity, available in both its standard and Dynamax forms through Max Battles. Additionally, players will encounter Mighty Pokémon, which exhibit the following traits:
- Higher Attack, Defense, and HP ratings
- Increased likelihood of being XL or XXL
- More challenging to capture
To assist in capturing these formidable creatures, Trainers will receive the new GO Safari Ball, which enhances capture success rates. Note that any unused Safari Balls will expire at the end of each event day.
Legendary Raids
Both Origin Forme Dialga and Origin Forme Palkia will return to raids, allowing Trainers to catch these Legendary Pokémon with their unique Adventure Effect moves, previously unavailable since the Sinnoh Tour.
Event Bonuses
During the Pokémon GO Wild Area Global event, the following bonuses will apply:
- Lure Modules activated will last for two hours.
- Chance of receiving Special Backgrounds from Four-Star and Five-Star Raid Battles.
- Field Research themed around different Pokémon habitats.
- One GO Snapshot surprise event encounter per day.
Ticket Holder Bonuses
Trainers who purchase a ticket will enjoy additional bonuses, including:
- Increased chance of encountering Shiny Pokémon.
- Level up your Elite Collector medal with themed Collection Challenges.
- 2× Catch Candy and 1/2 Hatch Distance for Eggs placed in Incubators.
- Up to 5 Raid Passes per day by spinning Photo Discs at Gyms.
