How to Play the Glaceon ex Deck
The core strategy of this deck revolves around utilizing Ex Pokémon and Manaphy’s abilities.
Maximizing Energy Gains with Manaphy
- Manaphy’s ability allows you to add extra energy to Pokémon on your bench.
- Your goal is to set up Palkia, Vaporeon, or Glaceon in your bench.
- Having two of these three Pokémon in play almost guarantees victory.
Once your key Pokémon are in play, with Manaphy in the active spot, you can boost their energy levels rapidly.
Keeping Manaphy in Play
Manaphy is weak and easily defeated, but Giant Cape and Irida will increase its HP, allowing it to survive longer in battle.
Important Tip: Don’t waste all your healing items on Manaphy—it isn’t necessary.
Deploying Palkia ex or Glaceon ex for Maximum Damage
Once Palkia or Glaceon ex has enough energy, you should switch them to the active position:
- Palkia ex delivers massive damage, but using Dimensional Storm forces you to discard three energy cards, making it vulnerable.
- Vaporeon acts as a support with Wash Out, allowing you to transfer energy from the bench to Palkia, keeping it battle-ready.
However, the most effective and straightforward strategy involves Glaceon ex:
- Deals 90 damage per attack
- Does not lose energy when attacking
- Can be healed efficiently using Irida and Giant Cape
