Niantic has just announced an exciting new event for Pokémon GO! Might and Mastery event will be available from April 3 at 10:00 AM until April 7 at 8:00 PM (local time).
Special Research: Exclusive Rewards and Encounters
Alongside this event, a brand-new Special Research will be introduced, offering Trainers the chance to obtain incredible rewards, including:
- Golden Razz Berries
- Kubfu Candy
- Themed Pokémon encounters
This Special Research will be available from March 4 to June 3 at no additional cost. Completing it will grant a guaranteed encounter with the Mythical Pokémon Marshadow.
Additionally, Trainers who participated in the Pokémon GO Fest 2024 will receive extra Marshadow Candy upon completion of this research. Remember, this research does not expire!
Event Bonuses: More XP and Shiny Encounters
During the Spectacular Styles event, Trainers can enjoy exclusive event bonuses, including:
- Double XP for catching Pokémon
- Increased chances of encountering Shiny West Sea Shellos and Shiny East Sea Shellos in their respective regions

New Pokémon Debuts
For the first time in Pokémon GO, the following Paldean Tauros forms will appear:
- Paldean Tauros (Standard Form)
- Shiny Paldean Tauros (Combat Breed)
- Shiny Paldean Tauros (Blaze Breed)
- Shiny Paldean Tauros (Aqua Breed)
These Tauros will spawn depending on your region.
Pokémon with Increased Spawn Rates
The following Pokémon will appear more frequently in the wild:
- Castform
- Rainy Form Castform
- Snowy Form Castform
- Burmy (Plant Cloak, Sandy Cloak, Trash Cloak)
Some of these Pokémon may be Shiny!

Free Timed Research and Exclusive Rewards
A free Timed Research will also be available, offering the following rewards:
- 10 Kubfu Candy
- Pokémon encounters with event-themed Pokémon such as Clamperl, Espurr, and Morpeko
- An additional Candy bonus for catching Pokémon after completing the Timed Research
- Increased chances for Trainers level 31 and above to receive XL Candy for catching Pokémon after completing the Timed Research
