TFT Enhances Accessibility with New Features – Everything You Need to Know

7. November 2024 by Valentin Pasetti

The Teamfight Tactics (TFT) universe continues to evolve, welcoming new features in the upcoming set designed to make the game more accessible and enjoyable for both new and experienced players. Among the most notable changes are the replacement of Portals with Initial Encounters and a revamped item bench interface to enhance item management.

Goodbye Portals, Hello Initial Encounters

The Portal mechanic in TFT has been a significant part of the game but also created challenges, especially for newcomers. To streamline the experience, Initial Encounters are being introduced.

This change not only offers greater variety but also brings a familiar touch for Arcane fans, as each Initial Encounter will feature a character from the series. The aim is to make each game’s start more intuitive while providing a thematic link to the League of Legends universe.

Improved Item Bench: Enhanced Visibility and Control

This update also brings a new item bench interface that optimizes visibility and functionality for players. Items will now appear on a tool panel on the left side of the screen, providing clearer item access, more precise clicks, and smoother item combinations and rearrangement.

Additionally, Item Removers and Reforgers can now be stacked, allowing for greater flexibility in item management.
