Teamfight Tactics (TFT) Patch 14.15 brings significant changes with the introduction of Set 12, transforming the gameplay experience with a host of new features, adjustments, and improvements. This update is set to revitalize the meta and offer fresh dynamics for players. Here’s an in-depth look at what to expect in this patch.

Key Changes in Patch 14.15

1x (6)

1. Enhancements to User Experience

  • Champion Augments: Now, when selecting a Champion Augment, the ability icons of that unit will update to display the Champion Augment icon. This visual enhancement aims to make it easier for players to track augment effects during matches.
  • Champion Quality Settings: A new setting has been added to adjust the visual quality of champions. Players can now customize the appearance of champions according to their preferences, potentially improving performance and visual clarity.
  • Shield Damage Logging: Damage inflicted on shields is now recorded in the combat summary log. This change provides better insight into damage distribution and effectiveness during battles.

2. Introduction of Amulets

  • New Mechanic – Amulets: Amulets are single-use effects available for purchase in the shop. Players can buy one amulet per round, with no additional amulets appearing in that round. Amulets do not appear during PvE rounds and start appearing from round 2-1 onwards. From round 5-1, they will appear every third shop.
  • Amulet Power and Availability: The power of amulets increases with the game phase and the price of gold. Some amulets are tied to specific traits and will only appear if you have the corresponding traits.
  • Timing for Combat Impact: Amulets affecting player combat must be purchased before the combat round starts; otherwise, they will transfer to the next round.

3. System Adjustments

  • Level XP Requirements: The XP required to reach levels has been adjusted as follows: 2/2/6/10/20/36/48/76/76 (previously 2/2/6/10/20/36/48/80/80). This change impacts how quickly players can level up during the game.
  • Bag Sizes: Changes to unit bag sizes are as follows:
    • 1-cost Units: Increased from 22 to 30.
    • 2-cost Units: Increased from 20 to 25.
    • 3-cost Units: Increased from 17 to 18.
    • 4-cost Units: Maintained at 10.
    • 5-cost Units: Maintained at 9.
  • Mana Adjustments: Mana gain beyond maximum limits from sources other than damage is now granted after the ability is cast. This does not affect mana gained during mana-blocking, only when leading to an ability cast. Additionally, units with shields will now gain the correct amount of mana from damage, addressing issues with items like Solari’s Relic and Crown Guard.

4. PvE Monsters in Patch 14.15

  • Inspectable PvE Monsters: Standard PvE monsters (minions, Rock Monsters, Abyssal Spawns, Daggerworms, Ancient Dragon, Rift Herald) can now be inspected. However, Sneaky Crabs are no longer inspectable and do not have illustrations.
  • Monster Stat Changes:
    • Ancient Dragon: Health reduced from 12,000 to 10,000; Armor and Magic Resist increased to 50.
    • Abyssal Spawns: Health for large Abyssal Spawns increased from 1,100 to 1,300; small Abyssal Spawns’ health increased from 360 to 550. Armor reduced from 25 to 15; Magic Resist increased from 0 to 15.
    • Daggerworms: Armor increased from 1 to 25; Magic Resist increased from 0 to 25.
    • Rift Herald: No longer receives 20% reduced damage from attacks. Armor increased from 50 to 100; Magic Resist increased from 0 to 100.
