TSM Transitions to Full Danish CS2 Roster in Quest for Major Return

3. July 2024 by Valentin Pasetti

TSM has made significant changes to its Counter-Strike lineup in a bid to regain competitive momentum since rejoining the scene last September. The latest move sees them transition to a fully Danish roster, marking a strategic shift for the organization.

New Additions to the TSM Lineup

On July 1st, TSM announced the acquisition of three new players, all hailing from Denmark. AcoR, formerly of GamerLegion, headlines the trio alongside Altekz and niko, who join the organization following periods without a team.

They join existing core members valde, who has been with TSM since their return, and Zyphon, who joined earlier this year. Leading the team is coach Rejin, previously associated with Danish team MOUZ.

Danish Legacy in CS

Danish teams have historically achieved significant success in Counter-Strike, with a legacy of competitive excellence. TSM’s latest lineup aims to leverage this pedigree as they strive to make an impact on the global CS2 scene.

Player Backgrounds and Expectations

Niko, who parted ways with OG in January 2023, has been searching for a stable competitive environment. Valde, a stalwart of TSM for ten months, has yet to secure major finals appearances since the team’s resurgence.

AcoR joins TSMb following a successful stint with GamerLegion, despite recent performance challenges that led to his benching. Notably, he reached the Paris CS Major final in 2023.

Altekz showcased promise in Astralis Talent before moving to Preasy, which disbanded earlier this year. Zyphon, meanwhile, has faced rebcent struggles, reflected in his performance ratings.

Team Outlook and Challenges Ahead

The new TSM roster appears to have been finalized relatively late, tempering initial expectations. However, with ESL Challenger League Season 48 Europe on the horizon starting July 15th, the team has an immediate opportunity to prove skeptics wrong and showcase their potential.

Conclusion

TSM’s shift to a fully Danish CS2 lineup marks a strategic move aimed at revitalizing their competitive presence. With a blend of seasoned veterans and promising newcomers, the team faces both challenges and opportunities as they aim for success in upcoming tournaments.
