Initially, there will be an inaugural tournament for each region to determine their representatives for the Masters in Madrid. In our region, this will be known as the VCT Américas Kickoff and will feature a previously unseen format with 11 teams. Here at CodigoEsports, we’ll provide you with all the details about this format.
VCT Américas Kickoff Format
This tournament will consist of a total of 11 participants and will feature three stages:
1. Group Stage
The Group Stage will be divided into two zones of 4 teams and one zone of 3 teams. Notably, Evil Geniuses will be in the 3-team zone due to their region’s highest position in the 2023 Champions.
2. Play-Ins
The second-place teams from each group will compete in a round-robin format for a spot in the Playoffs.
3. Playoffs
The top team from each group and the winner of the Play-Ins will proceed to a single-elimination bracket. The finalists of the Kickoff will directly qualify for the Masters in Madrid, with the champion receiving a preferred spot.
