Valorant Patch 10.04: Major Changes for Iso and Tejo Leaked

Valorant Patch 10.04: Major Changes for Iso and Tejo Leaked

4. March 2025 by Valentin Pasetti

As the first act of Valorant’s latest season comes to an end, excitement is building around upcoming updates, including the arrival of a new agent. However, recent leaks suggest that Iso and Tejo are also set to receive significant changes in Patch 10.04, which could shake up the current meta.

With Riot Games officially revealing the new agent, Waylay, during the Bangkok Masters Grand Final showmatch, the community is buzzing with speculation. While Waylay is expected to introduce a fresh dynamic to the game, sharp-eyed players also noticed potential tweaks to Iso’s abilities.

Later leaks confirmed these adjustments, along with an upcoming nerf to Tejo, a dominant force in the current meta.

Leaked Changes to Iso and Tejo in Patch 10.04

Iso: Buffed with New Effects

Since his release, Iso has been a challenging Duelist to balance. Midway through 2024, he underwent a rework that was so powerful it had to be quickly toned down. Now, Riot is once again fine-tuning his abilities to enhance his tactical utility.

Ability Adjustments for Iso:

  • Recorte (Q):
    • Charge count reduced from 2 → 1
    • Cost increased from 200 → 300 credits
    • Now applies suppression in addition to vulnerability (duration: 4 seconds)
  • Contingency (C):
    • A new alternative throw mode has been added, where the barrier moves at half speed
  • Remate (E):
    • If Iso’s shield is broken, he now becomes more vulnerable than before

These updates suggest that Iso will gain additional strategic value, particularly with his newfound ability to suppress enemies. However, the cost increase and charge reduction for Recorte will require more careful resource management.

Tejo: Nerfed to Reduce Competitive Dominance

Tejo has been a staple in Valorant’s competitive scene since his introduction, thanks to his powerful utility. However, Patch 10.04 will bring significant nerfs aimed at reducing his overall impact, particularly in high-level play.

Ability Adjustments for Tejo:

  • Missiles Crucero (E):
    • Damage reduced from 70 → 65
    • Now deals 50% less damage to objects
    • Can no longer destroy Killjoy’s Containment ability
    • After use, Containment will remain with 5 HP

These changes mean that Tejo’s explosive potential will be toned down, particularly in scenarios where he was used to counter utility-based agents like Killjoy. His ability to clear defensive setups will now require more coordination and follow-up from teammates.

How These Changes Could Impact the Meta

The adjustments to Iso and Tejo in Patch 10.04 could lead to a shift in playstyles across both ranked and competitive scenes:

  • Iso Buffs: The addition of suppression to Recorte could make him more effective in isolating opponents, potentially making him a stronger pick in coordinated team play.
  • Tejo Nerfs: With his missile damage reduced and utility-breaking capabilities weakened, teams may rely less on Tejo for countering defensive agents, leading to greater viability for Killjoy and similar setups.

When Will Patch 10.04 Be Released?

Valorant Patch 10.04 is expected to roll out on March 5, 2025. If these leaks hold true, players should prepare for a noticeable shift in how Duelists and utility-heavy agents interact in matches.
