We have good news for the whole VALORANT fan community. The VALORANT Premier Open Beta date is confirmed and will start soon.
All VALORANT players should pay attention right now as Riot Games has announced when the VALORANT Premier Open Beta will start.
For those who don’t know what this beta is about, it is a competitive team system that allows any player to form their team. With this team, players have the opportunity to compete at various levels. Even if they are good enough, they can compete with the professionals in the international professional shooter circuit of Riot Games. However, to reach a professional level, the teams must meet a series of minimum conditions that we will tell you about below.

Open Beta Duration
As Riot Games announced, the Open Beta’s initial phase lasts one month. It starts on April 25 and ends on May 23; the Open Beta is divided into stages, each one week long.
Open Beta schedule
Registration dates: Registration lasts three days, from April 25 to 28.
Matches per week: After registration, the round of matches begins from April 29 to May 20.
Playoffs Tournament: May 21 is the final tournament.
For its part, Riot Games has made it very clear that, for now, it is a test version before the full launch in late 2023. However, the developer assures the entire VALORANT gaming community that more details will be known closer to the official release date.
On the other hand, Riot Games confirms that the plans for the Premier stages are to have the same duration as a VALORANT event.
How does VALORANT Premier work?
Riot Games has made a press release and a video on YouTube to explain in detail how this new competitive system they are launching works. The first thing players must do is to form a team, as we mentioned before. Then the team leader must choose a zone where they want to compete. This means choosing the servers on which the team will play each instance of VALORANT Premier and the match schedule.
Once the server is selected, VALORANT will assign the team’s top five players to one of the 20 divisions in which they can participate. The system for assigning each player to each division is based on their average MMR.
Teams will then play two games per week to accumulate points, and after the Regular Phase, the number of points will determine if the team is eligible to advance to the Playoffs.
The Playoffs are the last phase of the Open Beta, which takes place on the last three days of the calendar. This phase will be played like the pros with a selection phase and map block.
However, a player card and exclusive champion titles will be awarded to the team that wins all the games (Bo1). Therefore, this team will also be named champion. However, the eliminated teams will move to the lower category, where they will compete for third place.
