Last weekend, Team Vitality claimed victory at the ESL Pro League Season 21, further solidifying their dominance in the Counter-Strike competitive scene. The French organization continues to prove they are among the best teams in Counter-Strike history and currently the strongest squad in Counter-Strike 2.
However, ZywOo and his teammates are not satisfied just yet. They now have their sights set on an achievement that none of their roster members have ever attained: winning the Intel Grand Slam.
What is the Intel Grand Slam?
The Intel Grand Slam (IGS) is an elite achievement introduced by ESL, awarded to a team that wins four ESL tournaments within a window of 10 events. One of these victories must be from either IEM Cologne, IEM Katowice, or an ESL-organized Major.
The first-ever Intel Grand Slam took place between July 2017 and December 2018, with Astralis being the inaugural champions. The team that secures the Intel Grand Slam receives a $1,000,000 prize.
Following their latest ESL Pro League triumph, Vitality has now won three ESL tournaments and needs just one more victory to claim the Intel Grand Slam title.
Vitality’s Chances to Win the Intel Grand Slam
With five remaining opportunities, Vitality is in a prime position to secure the fourth and final title necessary for the Intel Grand Slam.
Upcoming Tournaments Where Vitality Can Secure the Intel Grand Slam:
- IEM Melbourne 2025 – April 21 to April 27
- IEM Dallas 2025 – May 19 to May 25
- IEM Cologne 2025 – July 26 to August 3
- ESL Pro League Season 22 – September 27 to October 12
- IEM Chengdu 2025 – November 3 to November 9
Tournaments Vitality Has Already Won:
- IEM Cologne 2024
- IEM Katowice 2025
- ESL Pro League Season 21
It is important to note that Vitality’s victory at IEM Rio 2023 against Heroic in the Grand Final does not count towards this Intel Grand Slam run, as it falls outside the 10-event window.

Other Teams Competing for the Intel Grand Slam
While Vitality is in the best position to claim the Intel Grand Slam, they are not the only team in contention.
NAVI – The Closest Challenger
NAVI is the most immediate threat to Vitality. They currently have six opportunities left to win the necessary four tournaments and secure the Intel Grand Slam.
NAVI’s Current Wins:
- ESL Pro League Season 20
- IEM Rio 2024
MOUZ – A Distant Contender
MOUZ, the runner-up in the ESL Pro League Season 21, is also in the race but faces a much tougher challenge. With only one ESL tournament win so far, they must win all three of their remaining opportunities to be eligible for the Intel Grand Slam.
MOUZ’s Current Wins:
- ESL Pro League Season 19
With only three tournaments left, MOUZ has no room for error. If they fail to win all three, their Intel Grand Slam hopes are over.
With only one tournament victory away, Vitality has the strongest chance to claim the Intel Grand Slam and the $1,000,000 prize. However, NAVI remains a serious contender, and MOUZ must achieve perfection to stay in the race.
With IEM Melbourne 2025 just around the corner, fans eagerly await to see if ZywOo and his squad can make history.
