Free Code Drops for Pokémon GO
Niantic has announced that it will offer free code drops during the Pokémon World Championship 2023 streams. On Day 1 of the tournament, players will receive exclusive temporary research codes after watching 30 minutes of the broadcast. These research tasks will offer 3 encounter options to form a team worthy of the Super Ball League.

These codes also provide the following additional rewards:
- 8,000 Stardust
- A premium battle pass
- 1 Star Piece
On Day 2, players will receive a drop featuring a temporary research code focused on the 2022 Pokémon GO Master’s Division world champion, DancingRob. This will include rewards like:
- Galarian Stunfisk
- Elite Charged TM
Note that the codes from Day 1 and Day 2 are valid until August 20, 2023, and only one temporary research code can be claimed per account.
How to Get the Drops
To obtain the drops, follow the official Pokémon GO Twitch channel. Then, watch the tournament streams on this channel. Here are the schedules:
- Friday, August 11, 2023, from 6:00 PM CST (12:00 AM UTC) until the day’s broadcast ends.
- Saturday, August 12, 2023, from 6:00 PM CST (12:00 AM UTC) until the day’s broadcast ends.
During the streams, locate the gift panel on the official Pokémon GO Twitch channel. This panel will have a box where players can share their Twitch ID to join the drops and start the viewing count. After that, watching 30 minutes of the stream will earn you a code.
